To say Nick Zappola has lifelong experience in construction is not an understatement. From early childhood, Nick accompanied his father at job sites. At 22, Nick ventured out on his own, forming his first construction company. From the ground up, he built what is now Zappola Construction. He has built everything from condos to single-family homes, from spec houses to custom homes. In addition, Nick is also a trusted commercial builder, who has built many noted Hamptons restaurants including Sen, K Pasa, Claudio’s, and Wölffer Kitchen.

When asked what his favorite project has been thus far, Nick admits it is the iconic Sen restaurant in Sag Harbor. Sen allowed him to apply his experience in building custom homes and transform the three-story, seven-thousand-square-foot space into a stunning and welcoming space while staying within budget and on schedule. In addition, Sen is where he met his wife 25 years ago! Adept at historic restorations, Zappola Construction is currently spearheading the extensive renovation of the Sagaponack General Store. The original store was built in the 1800s and Zappola took on the task of moving the store back from the road during the update so a new porch could be added to the front of the building as it was when it was first built.
